DogStopper is a remotely activated dog safety solution being developed for situations where location data alone is not enough.
The problem
GPS tells you where your dog is. It doesn't stop it.
A tracker shows your dog's location on the map. That doesn't help when the dog is heading towards a dangerous area and can't hear or won't respond to a recall.
DogStopper is being developed for exactly these situations: the aim is to help stop the dog's movement before it reaches a dangerous area.
Location data matters, but it is only information. What counts is what you can do next.

How it works
A simple principle in the field
The device travels with the dog
DogStopper goes with the dog in the field as part of its other equipment.
The owner activates it remotely
When the situation calls for it, the stopping function can be triggered remotely.
The dog's movement is stopped
The aim is to stop the dog's movement before it reaches a dangerous area.
We do not publish the device's internal technical solutions or detailed performance figures at this stage.

Why we are developing DogStopper
Born from a real need
DogStopper grew out of a need experienced with hunting dogs. The situation where you know exactly where your dog is but cannot stop it is familiar to many dog handlers.
The product has been developed over several years. Along the way we have built a number of prototypes, and earlier versions have been tested in real use together with dog and hunting enthusiasts.

A limited group of testers
We are looking for a few more testers for the 2026 hunting season to gather practical feedback.
A commercial product
The product will be finalised based on feedback from the test group. Target: the 2027 hunting season.

Would you like to test DogStopper?
We will select only a limited number of testers for the 2026 season. The goal is to gather practical experience from real hunting situations.
What we hope for from a tester
- Active hunting or work with a hunting dog
- Regular use of the dog during the season
- Willingness to test the device in real conditions
- Practical feedback on usability and performance
Testing conditions
Selected testers can take part in the field testing of the DogStopper prototype. Taking part involves a testing participation fee of approximately €500. The prototype device remains the property of DogBrake Oy — this is not a sale of the prototype.
The device is still in development and is not yet a commercial product. Its housing, software and radio technology may be modified during testing. The intention is to update the test units with radio technology suitable for the final product once it is available and the required approvals are met.
The exact testing conditions, responsibilities, terms of use and return of the device, and any updates are agreed in a testing agreement before testing starts.
